Welcome,
Draft In Dance is a collection of my illustrations, paintings, and animations. My problem with most art is it settles to capture a singular moment; it can fake three whole spatial dimensions, but ignores the fourth dimension of time -- duration, rhythm, series and sequence. As a student of dance, I know the elements of time are important to telling a story; as an artist, I use animation to capture them, to bridge the gap into the next dimension of art. I draft art that dances. Currently, I am attending the Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago with a 3.9 GPA in their Media Arts and Animation B.F.A. program. Upon graduation at the end of Summer, 2013, I hope to begin leaving my mark in the entertainment industry. I glean inspiration from Baroque works, especially those featuring chiaroscuro, Surrealism and impossible objects (such as those illustrated by M.C. Escher), Romanticism and Architecture. My work in Anthropology and Education has also given me a keen interest in Biochemistry, which I wish to explore further using representational renderings. I invite you to browse through The Gallery.
